Yesterday was beutiful day to prune this marvelous Mayday cherry tree in Calgary. Tree wasn´t maintain for long time so it went little bit out of control.
Tree is infested with Dibotryon morbosum which is the causal agent of black knot.
We reduced the crown of the tree from neighbour’s property and also for lawn moving.
All black knot was cut out and owner was informed about proper watering and fertilizing to give tree boost.
